Don't Hold Your Breath

Remember when rising fuel prices became an excuse for everyone from American Airlines to your gardener to increase the prices they charged you?

Well, recently, the price of gas looks like this:

SO, NOW...the question is...will they cut their prices because their fuel costs have fallen off a cliff?

I'm not holding my breath.

My favorite grocery store did lower its prices when the gas prices dropped. It obviously played it up for the PR aspect. It wasn't a huge drop, but every little bit helps, right?

If I ran a business that was fuel price sensitive, I'd do the same thing. I think people would flock to a business that did it seriously and publicized it. Talk about a compelling competitive differentiator!
